This weekend has been hot !
well for me it has, for my dear wife Karen, this is still cold ! over this weekend there has been ups & downs as life provides in ample supply. it began mostly in frustration over Amazon and there poor site management; but I need not say any more on that!
To be honest; about this weekend it has been a blur of sun & heat and today even sand!, as we headed off to creswell beach to soak up some of the summer sun on the coast’s finest golden sands, if you are ever in the area its a beach to visit, and no not because it is the typical water breaker/concrete jam packed mess like most beaches seem to be today, its a more serene place everything seems naturally in place no man made structures shape this beach the beach shapes them, the aged wood fences strung with fine wire next to endless dunes of coastal sea grass, the sand is so fine it flows through your fingers with ease.
I spent a few hours there with my beloved, while Karen rested, absorbing the sun’s rays, I kept my self busy with a handful of sea grass and set about weaving something, unknown to begin with if I’m fair, but slowly it took the shape of a heart, for the love of my life.
I enjoy making things, and even more so when its something for the lady I love. I think people forget sometimes how easy it is to shape things from raw materials, in a world where so much is made for us by machines crafted by others, it seems alien to associate that with the work of another human being, as I sit at my computer I can only ponder at the thousands of man hours involved in creating every single part including that of my own, regardless of this meandering thought, I want to take more time to craft the things in my life for the people I love

Tomorrow is our 1st Anniversary, I don’t know what we’re going to do yet, but I know I will be happy, tonight we’ll relax and toast our first year as husband and wife … although the cat gets a lot of attention too !

for now thats all :)
